The World Leisure Board of Directors has awarded the 2008 World Leisure Congress to Québec City, Canada. Scheduled for October 6-10, this marks the return of the World Congress to North America for the first time since the Inaugural Congress in 1988 held at Lake Louise.
The Congress will be hosted by the Conseil québécois du loisir, supported by the Government of Québec . A strong delegation from Québec gave an impressive presentation to the delegates of 7th World Congress recently held in Kuala Lumpur. The Congress will coincide with Québec City's 400th Anniversary celebrations. Strategically located and among North America's most sought after tourist destinations, Québec is expected to attract a large number of delegates, particularly from Europe and North America. |
